Privacy Notice

This notice explains how the Faculty Evaluation System capstone prototype handles information used during demonstrations and testing.

Last updated: September 14, 2026

Information used by the prototype

  • Account and profile information, including name, email address, and College role.
  • Faculty assignments, evaluation responses, optional comments, submission history, and aggregated evaluation results used to demonstrate the workflow.
  • Security and operational information needed to authenticate users and protect the system.

How information is used

The prototype uses this information to authenticate demonstration users, assign and administer evaluations, and present role-appropriate screens and results.

Functional storage and cookies

The system uses essential authentication and interface-preference storage, including session-related cookies, a sidebar preference cookie, and a local theme preference. It does not currently use advertising or analytics trackers.

Storage and access

The prototype uses Supabase services for authentication and data storage. Information is available only through the access level assigned to each demonstration account. The project does not sell personal information or use advertising or analytics trackers.

Prototype data

Thesis testing uses scripted, non-official evaluation responses. Results must not inform employment or disciplinary decisions. Participation consent and the software-evaluation survey are handled outside this system.

Identifiable pilot data is removed from the live system within 30 days after the thesis defense.

Comments are confidential with identity fields removed from reports, but their wording may still identify a respondent. Participants should use prepared, non-identifying sample comments.

Questions about demonstration data

For questions about information used in this capstone, contact the project team through its faculty adviser or the department that provided the demonstration account.
